Why Try Rowing?
NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. Unlike other popular youth sports, middle and high schoolers with no experience can easily join the team and spend the season on the water instead of warming the bench. It’s not too late!
TEACHES TEAMWORK. Rowing is rarely an individual sport. Instead, athletes learn to communicate effectively, build strong relationships and row as a team.
BUILDS STRONG RELATIONSHIPS. When athletes go through the rigors of training and competing together, it fosters camaraderie and creates lifelong friendships.
KEEPS KIDS OUTDOORS AND OFFLINE. Rowing provides a rare opportunity for teens to disconnect from their phones and reconnect with their peers and nature.
INCREASES FITNESS LEVELS. Rowing is a full body, low impact but intense workout. Being in great physical shape is a boost for teens’ health and confidence.
