Who we Are

Building strong athletes, confident teammates, and lifelong friendships on the water.

Our Story

Seminole County Area Rowing (SCAR)

Welcome to Seminole County Area Rowing (SCAR), a non-profit youth rowing club in Seminole County, Florida. We are a nationally competitive rowing team offering opportunities for middle and high school students. Our co-ed rowing program is open to all students, particularly those from schools without a rowing team. Join us to learn and excel in youth rowing; no prior experience is required!

OUR MISSION

To introduce young athletes to the sport of rowing while developing character, leadership, teamwork, and competitive excellence.

Why Rowing?

No experience is necessary. Athletes learn a challenging sport, train on the water, compete as a team, and build friendships that last long after the season ends.

Meet The Board

The SCAR Board is a parent-run volunteer board dedicated to supporting the growth, success, and sustainability of our rowing program. Board members work behind the scenes to help with fundraising, events, communication, logistics, and team operations, ensuring our athletes and coaches have the resources they need to thrive both on and off the water.
