From local regattas to team celebrations, SCAR events bring our rowers, families, and community together. Whether we’re racing, volunteering, fundraising, or celebrating a season of hard work, every event helps build the teamwork, friendships, and spirit that make Seminole County Area Rowing special.

Oar Blades & Blades

Trade your oar blades for carving blades and carve out some fall fun!

We've spent all morning sharpening our strokes—now it's time to sharpen some carving tools! Join us after practice from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for a gourd time at Oar Blades & Blades, SCAR's pumpkin-packed Halloween celebration. Athletes, siblings, and parents are invited to trade their oars for carving blades, bob for apples, compete in spooky games, and see who can create the most boat-tiful jack-o'-lantern.

Whether you're a master carver or just along for the pumpkin spice, this is a chance to relax, laugh, and enjoy some fang-tastic fun with your SCAR crew. Feel free to bring a favorite fall treat to share—spiced cider, pumpkin goodies, caramel apples, or any harvest-inspired snack. Participation is completely optional, but sharing a few seasonal treats is a great way to make this event even sweeter.
