5 SCAR Rowers Represent Seminole County at SRAA Nationals in Oak Ridge, Tennessee

Five athletes from proudly represented their Seminole County high schools at the prestigious in Oak Ridge, competing against some of the top scholastic rowing programs in the country under the leadership of Head Coach Michelle Hill.
The athletes, coached by Michelle Hill throughout the season, qualified to race in three highly competitive events while representing Lyman High School, Oviedo High School, and Seminole High School on the national stage.

Lyman High School competed in the Boys Senior 1x
Oviedo High School competed in the Boys Lightweight Senior 2x
Seminole High School competed in the Girls Senior 2x
The regatta brought together elite scholastic rowers from across the United States, giving SCAR athletes the opportunity to compete at the highest level of high school rowing while proudly representing Seminole County and the SCAR program.
A standout performance came from the Oviedo Boys Lightweight Senior 2x, who advanced to the Finals and earned an impressive 5th place national finish after a strong weekend of racing.
Under Coach Michelle Hill’s guidance, SCAR athletes trained throughout the season with a focus on discipline, teamwork, technique, and competitive excellence. Their qualification for SRAA Nationals reflects the commitment and hard work put in both on and off the water.
Traveling to Oak Ridge and racing against nationally ranked crews was an unforgettable experience and another milestone for SCAR’s growing competitive program. The athletes represented their schools, teammates, and community with pride while gaining valuable national-level racing experience.
